James Conlon returns to the May Festival to lead World Premiere work by Julia Adolphe

The World Premiere of Julia Adolphe’s Crown of Hummingbirds will be conducted by James Conlon on Thursday, May 25, at the May Festival. Also on the program is Mozart’s Requiem in D Minor.

May Festival Music Director Laureate James Conlon will also step in for the final performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 8, Symphony of a Thousand, on May 27 after Principal Conductor Juanjo Mena was forced to withdraw from the performance due to a family emergency.
